9177 persons died because of the outbreak of the ebola virus. The fact is made more true-to-life and impressive: first of all the drop represents the blood (Ebola is known as hemorrhagic fever) and its repetition (every drop is a lost life) aim to emphasize the dramatic nature of the data, otherwise cold or difficult to quantify.
