Can you hear it?

The official language in Colombia is Spanish and there are 68 co-official indigenous languages spread across the country. These languages weaken daily and it is estimated that an indigenous person is killed every 72 hours in this country. The language in danger also reflects a population in danger.

Metaphor used:

The Colombia map locating the indigenous languages with hanging strings, the length of the strings represent the situation of the language. At the end of each string there is a QR code to listen the languages.

Intended Meaning:

Language in danger also reflects a population in danger: This project will have a critical perspective regarding the disappearance of indigenous languages and the vulnerability of people in these communities. The objective is to make visible that there is a gap between western and indigenous cultures, even in the same country.
