Epidemiological indicators related to breast cancer, in an overview highlighting the time trends of incidence and mortality. Breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer and it is the leading cause of cancer mortality. The risk of having breast cancer later in life is equivalent to one woman every eight; in Italy every year are diagnosed more than 47,000 cases.
